Bodrum Luxury Villa: Grasscrete Permeable Driveway

This 1,200 m² private estate on Bodrum's Yalıkavak coast chose Bomanite Grasscrete for its driveway rather than conventional paving. The decision was driven not only by aesthetics but by planning conditions requiring permeable surfaces to limit surface runoff.

Cast with the diamond-cell formwork, Grasscrete creates a fully permeable surface that handles heavy vehicle loads while recharging the groundwater below. When cells are filled with grass, the driveway reads as a continuation of the garden; left as exposed aggregate, it delivers a controlled geometric pattern.

Both finishes were used simultaneously on this project — grass-filled on the wheel tracks, aggregate-exposed on the central strip. The result is an entrance in harmony with the Aegean landscape that shows no ground erosion even after summer storms.
