Pebble pool coating is created by hand-embedding natural pebbles into a fresh white Portland cement matrix, then applying a controlled acid wash to reveal the stone texture. The system is 3× more durable than traditional pool plaster and demonstrates superior resistance to chlorine, salt water, UV and freeze-thaw cycling.
The natural mineral composition of each pebble type fundamentally changes the water colour: quartz delivers deep sapphire blue, river pebble a turquoise-green, basalt emerald depth, and marble an aqua tone. The acid-washed texture is both inherently slip-resistant and thermally superior — the surface stays comfortable underfoot even in peak summer sun.

THE PROCESS
Preparation to handover.
01
Surface Preparation
Existing coating is fully removed or keyed. Cracks and damaged sections are structurally repaired. The shell is acid-washed for maximum adhesion of the new pebble matrix.

Bonding Agent
A specialist hydro-active bonding agent is applied, guaranteeing a permanent, watertight bond between the pebble matrix and the pool shell.

Pebble Matrix Application
Selected pebbles are hand-applied in a white Portland cement matrix at uniform thickness. Our craftsmen ensure homogeneous distribution across every surface.

Troweling & Curing
The surface is trowelled to embed each stone at a consistent depth. A controlled curing process follows to develop full bond strength before exposure.
05
Acid Wash & Handover
A controlled acid wash removes the thin cement film over each stone, revealing the natural pebble texture. Pool is filled, water chemistry balanced, and handed over.
