Dubai Marina Residence: Exposed Aggregate Pool Terrace
28 November 2025
Client
Emaar Properties
System
Bomanite Exposed Aggregate Systems
Location
Dubai Marina, BAE
Area
3,800 m²
This residential complex on Dubai Marina's waterfront needed a solution for 3,800 m² of pool terrace, walkways, and amenity-level floors — and it had to overcome three specific challenges: salt-air corrosion, surface temperatures exceeding 50°C, and constant pool-chemical exposure.
Bomanite Exposed Aggregate Systems are engineered for exactly these conditions. The aggregate wash process reveals a hard mineral surface that delivers a non-slip texture and fade-resistant colour depth. Unlike natural stone, there are no grout joints — and therefore no hiding places for bacteria or grime.
The project was completed with a low-VOC sealer compliant with Dubai's LEED requirements and delivered on handover day. The complex went on to win that year's award for Best Residential Exterior Design.
